Despite the fact that 2021 began again with a pandemic, as in the rest of the world, from the first days of the year, almost everything was slowly preparing to return to its previous state. The development of a large number of vaccines for the irresistible covid-19 virus, and their mass use, has taken the first steps to bring everything down to the old pace of our past lives. With the widespread use of vaccines, our lives have become much easier. At the same time, the world has begun to make new decisions. Among these decisions, the news of the resumption of sports competitions, which were canceled due to the pandemic, and, of course, in the traditional way with the participation of many fans, became a real motivation for everyone. This was followed by the “Formula 1” and “UEFA EURO 2020” games scheduled for 2020. I think the result was unexpected and very interesting for everyone. As you can see from the title of the article, a real European summer took place in Baku this year. The fact that the “Formula 1” games took place in Baku was the reason for many European tourists to come to our country. I can even say that it was possible to see more Europeans in the city than Azerbaijanis. I want to note that “Formula 1” has been held in Baku since 2016. The most interesting race was in 2017, and I think the most memorable was “Formula 1 2020”, which was held this year due to a pandemic. I'm not mistaken in saying that this year's competition was held without spectators. Nevertheless, millions of motorsport fans sitting in front of the television screens watched the spectacular race, which will be remembered for a long time. Red Bull driver Sergio Pèrez won the 2021 season, beating his rivals. Perez finished 51 laps in the Baku city ring faster than anyone else (1: 44.703) and became the first on the podium. Sebastian Vettel (1: 45.138), the German driver of Aston Martin, took the second place. AlphaTauri's French driver Pierre Gasly (1: 45.588) finished third. Following the Formula 1 match, the “UEFA EURO 2020” football matches took place in Baku, one of the host countries.
